Overview of Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology
-This 3 year diploma course provides competent individuals who can support health care practitioners with diagnosis procedures in hospital and pathological laboratories.
-As Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT), they are responsible for performing laboratory procedures on various types of specimens collected from patients such as blood, urine, sputum etc. Students Will be trained to carry out biochemical test, staining and microscopic observation on human cells and tissues in order to diagnose the causes of the disease.
-An MLT should have good skills in clinical laboratory settings and involve in evaluation of test results, modify procedures and establish quality control programme to ensure the accuracy of the results while maintaining working integrity and professionalism.
Pass SPM with 5 credits inclusive of:
-General Science or Biology or Chemistry or Physics or Applied Science
-2 Credits from any other subjects
