Accreditation and Affiliation

Quality Assurance

DSH Institute of Technology has its own Quality Assurance Unit, which consists of management and academic staff, who consistently monitor the quality of students’ educational experiences and work towards enhancing and improving all aspects of the school. The institute is currently undergoing a certification process under SIRIM (a regulatory board under the purview of the Ministry of Trade and Industry) to obtain the ISO 9001 : 2018 certification, which will further enhance its credentials.

Accreditation

All eleven diploma and certificate courses, conducted at DSH Institute of Technology is accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) and Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA). This will enable graduates from the courses to continue their degree programmes at established Malaysian public universities or private higher education institutes. Graduates who wish to work after their respective programmes will also be able to find employment rather easily in most companies, due to these accreditations.

The Post Basic professional development courses run at DSH Institute of Technology are also accredited by the Ministry of Human Resources, under the Human Resource Development Corporation and are claimable through the Human Resource Development Fund (HRDF). This means that current employees, who wish to undergo professional development, can register for the courses through their companies, without having to pay from their individual or company funds.

Affiliations

School of Allied Health Sciences and Nursing

Students from the nursing, medical assistant and pharmacy programmes undergo clinical placements at public hospitals under the Ministry of Health, Malaysia and private hospitals such as Damai Service Hospital. For students who wish to experience geriatric care, they could choose to undergo placements at Seavoy Nursing Home, which is an established nursing home in service for over 20 years.

Students from the Environmental Health and Occupational Health and Safety programmes would undergo industrial attachments at local authorities and other private organizations. Some examples of these places would include the various Majlis and civil service sectors.

School of Business and Hospitality and Tourism

Students from the school of business will undergo industrial placements at various offices (law office, marketing office, human resource firms etc). Students from the school of hospitality and toursim will undergo industrial placements at various hotels, tour agencies etc.
