Although many hotels had closed, owing to travel bans and lockdowns, the future for the hotel industry seems positive and hopeful as countries start to recognize vaccination certificates and open their borders. For instance, Marriot group of hotels have expanded their operations in Malaysia and opened two new hotels and a few other groups have followed suit. As such, a course in hotel management will provide individuals, with an interest in the hotel and hospitality industry, with excellent career opportunities in the near future.
