Diploma in Pharmacy

The three year ‘Diploma in Pharmacy’ programme at DSH Institute of Technology aims to groom individuals who have keen interests in monitoring the quality, safety and dispensing of medication as well as providing medical support and guidance to patients. Recent studies have indicated that there is a growing presence of pharma and pharmaceutical manufacturing industries in Malaysia and a growing demand for pharmacists. As such, the ‘Diploma in Pharmacy’ programme which is approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Malaysian Qualifications Agency, has become a popular choice amongst many students.

At the end of our ‘Diploma in Pharmacy’ at DSH Institute of Technology, students will be able to :

  1. gain knowledge and expertise in compounding and dispensing medications as well as performing administrative tasks such as reviewing and purchasing pharmaceutical supplies
  2. develop relevant communication and professional skills related to communicating with patients and providing them with professional medical advise
  3. gain first hand experience in all domains of pharmacy (i.e. hospital, retail etc) through relevant placements
