Having covered the tertiary education field, DSH Institute of Technology has now ventured into producing skilled individuals under the ‘Technical and Vocational Training Scheme’ accredited by Jabatan Pembangunan Kemahiran (JPK). Under the TVET Programmes, DIT is one of the first few instituitions in Malaysia to obtain accreditation for ‘Elderly Care Centre Operation’ (SKM Level 3).
As we are all aware the government has recently been giving importance and focus to TVET programmes and given the rising aging population in Malaysia and around the world, there is a growing demand for skilled workers in the geriatric sector.
Graduates from the programme will be able to easily gain employment in Malaysia as well as other Asian countries in sectors such as nursing homes, government and private healthcare facilities etc. The course consists of a mixture of lectures, tutorials and clinical placements to provide a holistic learning experience for all students.
